Neue Version 0.996b.

0.996b is out. This fixes a few bugs that showed up in 0.996, and added a new feature to JumpTable which gives titles the ability to go back to the menu that called them originally. Also added is an NSIS installer, courtesy of V. Hermann, who wrote the script for the installer.

Happy Holidays. DVDAuthorGUI 0.996 is up. Ive added some code that validates the vob/mpegs to make sure that they do have NAV packets before importing them. Ive also added code that checks to ensure that the imported BMP buttons are 4BPP or less. Check the changelog for all the changes.

I found a bug in the subtitle routine that causes a 'subscript out of range' error when authoring. This will be fixed with 0.996 (to be released soon). Also, with 0.996, I have added a VOB checking function to ensure that the vob or mpeg does have NAV packets. If not, the gui will not import it. For those needing to import program stream mpegs, i have written a simple demultiplexing tool that utilizes 2 popular CLI demultiplexing tools. You can find it in the download section.

I updated 0.997 with a minor bugfix. Users were reporting an overflow error when the process errored out. (It worked fine if there were no errors). This was a minor problem, so I didn't feel releasing another version number was necessary. Any users experiencing this problem, just update the gui.

Now, thanks to the latest build of QuEnc, QuEnc can now encode/mux to a dvd profile, meaning that you can save a step by allowing QuEnc to encode/mux at the same time so that when authoring, you don't need to multiplex there. I am assuming this multiplexer is built on mplex/mjpegtools code. Quite a handy feature!

There is development now for a new authoring tool, being discussed here. 'Muxman' is just the beginning, and promises to be right up there with 'Scenarist'.

I hope everyone had a safe and merry christmas this year. Version 0.997 is up now. It is simply 0.996c renamed to 0.997, since there didn't seem to be any reports with 0.996c. Check the changelog for all of the updates. I wish everyone a prosperous and happy new year.

DVDAuthorGUI 0.998b is up. I have updated the binaries to the latest alpha build (dvdauthor-0.6.12-alpha-2992), and have created a new installer that has the VB runtime files included.

I just realized i packaged the wrong binaries with 0.998. I intended to put in 0.6.11, but inadvertently, put in 0.6.10-2773. This will be fixed soon. Until then, the 0.6.11 binaries can be found here.

Updated BatchDemux to 0.12. Just like DVDAuthorGUI, i removed the conspawn dependency from BatchDemux, and I also fixed a few bugs.

The non test version is out now (DVDAuthorGUI 1.002). As always, check the log for the changes/updates. Please email me if you run into a problem with the new overlay feature.

Well, I have a new test release out. With this version, I have packaged the 0.6.12-2907 binaries, along with a new version of the gui. I have added a new preview overlay, that allows the user to see exactly where the subpicture will be. Please let me know if there are any problems: (see above)

There is a bug in the new dvdauthor binaries that makes multiple menus not work correctly. Simply download this package and put them in the 'bin' folder to correct this.

It looks like I broke support for adding subtitles directly to the vob. It is fixed now in 0.999b. Sorry for the mistake.
